With its juicy burst of colours, the watermelon tourmaline is always the designers and customers favourite. Tourmaline deposits are usually found in veins that run through rocks that were created by molten magma from volcanoes. As the tourmaline crystal grows, it uses the trace elements that fit most easily within its lattice. As these trace elements in the solution are depleted, other elements are substituted and the colour of the crystal changes. The bright green in tourmalines are caused by the trace element chromium and the pink is mostly due to the manganese and lithium. These colour zones provide a beautiful visual record of the gemstone's formation process.
This bracelet has a watermelon tourmaline gemstone set in sterling silver that measures approximate 18-19mm including the loops in the centre and the adjustable dainty sterling silver bracelet chain is approximately 14 cm at its minimum and 18 cm at its max.
Please note no two natural gemstones are alike and no two shapes are identical either. All of our tourmalines for this bracelet are hand selected by our suppliers and are beautiful.
Please noteIt is very difficult to capture the beauty and lustre of the gemstones/beads/crystals in photography. So please read the description for the exact colour and accurate product description.
